Pointillism Watercolor taught by Jana Komaritsa

VIRTUAL CLASS Via Zoom Central Time- Beginner Friendly
Discover the relaxing art of pointillism using watercolor paints. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to create a vibrant image through the careful placement of colorful dots and small brush marks. We’ll cover basic watercolor techniques, color blending through optical mixing, and simple composition principles.

Material list:
-Watercolor Paints (At least a basic set of colors) pans or tubes that fits your budget.
-Standard set of brushes suitable for watercolor (synthetic and/or natural) (pointed round (4-10), flat or bright or filbert (8-12 or larger), detail round (1-2)
-Watercolor Paper pad or single sheets 140lb cold pressed surface
-Smooth, sturdy surface to place paper on (if needed)
-Masking Tape (to tape the paper to the surface if needed)
-Palette (plastic or paper)
-Water Cup, Paper towel or cloth
All class materials are available for purchase from our store Wet Paint Artists’ Materials. We are open 10-6pm daily at 1684 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN or online at www.wetpaintart.com.
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
