Pink! (A Watercolor Exploration) taught by Jinjer Markley

IN PERSON CLASS
Pink is a mysterious color: it can be delicate and subtle or bold and adventurous. Learn how to mix and use this versatile color while also exploring unique and useful properties of different watercolor paints. In this project-based class, we will paint love-y subjects perfect for the upcoming holiday while practicing different approaches to painting, including glazing, wet-in-wet and dry-brushing.

SUPPLIES TO BRING
Watercolor Paint: Opera Pink, Quinacridone Lilac, Cadmium Red, Cobalt Violet Light, McCracken Black (or any warm black), White gouache (The gouache can be water-based or acrylic).
Your choice of any heavily granulating pink, such as: Potter’s pink, Minnesota Pipestone Genuine, or Piedmontite Genuine.
Your Choice of any iridescent Pink, such as: Iridescent Garnet or Iridescent vibrant Raspberry
Paper: Postcard-sized watercolor blocks OR any sized paper cut into postcard sized pieces and taped to a waterproof board.
Brushes: Round #4, 5, or 6 and (optional) Flat: any size
