VIRTUAL CLASS

Painting in style of Paul Cezanne with a Palette Knife: Acrylic Impasto Technique

In this class we will create a beautiful painting, using impasto technique, acrylic paints and palette knife. The main characteristics of these techniques are that the paint is applied thickly, so that the strokes and textures become visible. This creates an effect of sculptural volume, similar to bas-relief.

French painter Paul Cézanne was one of the key artists of Post-Impressionism, who transitioned from the 19th artistic approach to a different world of art of the 20th century, including cubism. Cezanne based his art on the foundation of Impressionism and developed his own unique style, breaking the rules of academic art, using the methods of design, vivid colors and expressive brushstrokes. Our experienced artist and instructor Jana Komaritsa will tell you everything about the materials for painting, will show the basic principles of mixing and applying paints and guide you through all the main stages of creating a painting in style of Paul Cezanne, using impasto technique! No experience required!
