IN PERSON CLASS
Wet Paint offers a series of simple, open ended art classes designed for children 2-6 years old with adult taught by early childhood art specialist, Ellen Ferrari. Each class will focus on one art making process. Ellen will use examples of artwork by iconic artists to make connections to professional artists who use these processes and introduce basic concepts, materials and terms. All materials provided (real artists’ paper, ink, paints and tools!) for several projects in each class.
Must have one adult attending class with every child. Thanks!
THIS CLASS: Printmaking shapes, Letters, Patterns See the work of printmakers from the Minnesota Center for Book Arts and then play a printing game and discover positive and negative shapes. Make a rolling stamp and print repeating pattern paper. Use vegetables to print regular and irregular pattern fabric. Incise a letter type and print bookmarks – and a class broadside.
Please wear masks during in-person classes at Wet Paint. If you are having any COVID or cold-like symptoms even if you have been vaccinated, please do not come to the class. Thanks!
