IN PERSON CLASS

How do I mix brilliant colors in watercolor? How do I get those cool textural effects? How do I get smooth, even color? How do I mix the color of that flower? How do I pick colors that look good together in a painting? Why do I have gobs of green leftover in my palette after the painting is done? Get the answers to these questions and more in this hands-on practical class. We cover all aspects of mixing watercolor, including selecting paints, using color mixing tools, mixing the right amount of just the right color, planning for texture, and putting together pleasing color combinations.

Supplies:

  • Bring any watercolor paints and palettes you have on hand. We’ll have a purchasing break after discussing options so you can add to your collection, if you desire.
  • Bring a brush and watercolor/water media paper for mixing. A synthetic round brush works great. Paper can be scrap watercolor paper.
