Give yourself a little dose of creative joy and meditative focus with this Geometric Art class.
Each class in this series will include hints on where to look for inspiration, technical advice on how to use tools to create precise designs, and a packet of design templates if you’d rather just trace and color. When math is necessary, you will get resources that do the math for you, if you prefer. Additionally, in each class, you’ll learn an easy meditative doodle to help you calm and center yourself any time, anywhere. Since we’ll be working in watercolor, you’ll also get tips for successfully working with watercolor paint.
This Class : Knots
In this class, we will unravel the mysteries of knots, from Celtic knots to Chinese knots to knot theory. Learn a simple process for painting beautiful knots that pop off the page, and design your own unique knots. We will also practice drawing with a brush, and compare round and flat brushes.
- Supplies:
- A very sharp pencil
- Ruler
- Watercolor paper
- Round Brush size 3-12
- Flat Brush ½” -1”
- Watercolor of any kind
- Optional, but helpful: Lightbox
