Meets 4 Fridays, March 27-April 17 from 2:30-5:30pmIN PERSON CLASS
Ylli Haruni’s goal in teaching landscape in this class is to make your Plein Air painting experience more fun and less frustration, more confident and in command of your work from start to completion.
He’ll teach the fundamentals of structuring a landscape with all its elements. Reference photos taken by Ylli on his traveling and painting tours will be provided- a new subject for each session. There will be a painting demo in each session.
All levels are welcome!
You will learn how to:
*Select and choose what is important, what is that special thing that made you to stop and paint it.
*Include strong element in your landscape and leave a lot of details out
*Use your imagination and rearrange the elements for a better, more appealing, composition.
*Use color values to make the background recede and advance the foreground.
*Paint fewer details in background and more details in for ground for making the landscape more atmospheric.
*learn to use limited palette for being more practical when painting outdoors.
*Have fun while painting, it shows in your work!
Materials: All class materials are available for purchase from our store Wet Paint Artists’ Materials. We are open 10-6pm daily at 1684 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN or online at www.wetpaintart.com.
–Oil colors [pastel or acrylic artists are welcome too, not watercolors] French Ultramarine Blue, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, Titanium White
-Canvas [stretched on stretcher bars or panels] sizes 8”x10”, 9”x12”, 11”x14”
-Easels [Plein air or table top easels]
–Brushes. A Liner brush, and brushes sized #2, #5, #8, #12, (sizes of brushes vary between brands). Flats are better but you can have one round that you feel comfortable with.
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.

I’m an Albanian born artist and graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana.
My artwork has been worldwide recognized, awarded, collected by National Art Gallery in Albania and by many national and international art collectors.
I have years of experience in teaching art and I have been painting plein air, portraits, still lives and compositions for more than 5 decades.
