Learn the art of gouache painting by creating a captivating fall landscape. In this beginner-friendly class you’ll delve into the fundamental principles of composition and perspective while experimenting with gouache techniques, color mixing and application. No prior experience is necessary, making this class perfect for beginners. We’ll work on painting the image showcased in the class description, but you are welcome to choose a similar image.
Gouache supplies list:
- A basic tarditional gouache set of tube or pan colors (a selection of 6 colors or more) Here are some good options of sets if you need to buy some: Talens Art Creations 12 color gouache set– inexpensive 12ml tubes. This would be a good starter if you aren’t sure that you will like the medium. Only $14.75. Or the Holbein set of 12 -5ml tubes. Or Stoneground Gouache 6 color half pan set – gorgeous paint that is handmade in Canada. We also sell individual tubes of gouache so you can make your own set.
- Brushes. Average size 8-12, round pointed, flat. Bigger sizes can be used as well, smaller sizes for details.
- Painting surface suitable for gouache (watercolor or mixed media paper or boards, Claybord).
- Support Panel/pad back(if needed)
- Palette
- Water Cup
- Paper towel or cloth
- Masking Tape (if needed)
