Charcoal Landscape Drawing for Beginners taught by Jana Komaritsa

VIRTUAL CLASS meets via Zoom from 10am-12pm Central Time
In this class, artist Jana Komaritsa will guide you through various techniques of drawing a poetic landscape using charcoal. We will explore the fundamental principles of shading, gradation, and material application, learning how to create a detailed charcoal drawing. This is a beginner’s class, so no prior experience is required. You can follow the instructor’s images or use your own references.
Charcoal drawing supplies list:
· Charcoal sticks/pencils
· Sanding paper/block
· Pencil sharpener (if needed)
· Eraser, kneaded eraser
· Blending tools (stomp/tortillion/brushes)
· Support Panel/pad/board (if needed)
· Water cup
· Painting brushes
