Cat Drawing taught by Jana Komaritsa

March 9 @ 4:00 pm 6:00 pm

Suitable for adults and youth 12 and up.

This class is for all cat lovers! Animal portraitist Jana Komaritsa will be your guide as you discover different ways of sketching and drawing with various materials, for example, pencil, charcoal and ink. We will study the anatomy of cats and learn how to create a quick sketch as well as more detailed drawings.  Please prepare the photos of cats you would like to work from. No experience required! All materials are provided.

Guidance about the photos: It can be any cat photo, either a portrait, or full body. Several photos can be used, as we might create several sketches in class. It is better to have both the portrait and full body available, so that we can practice both. The photo should be clear, not blurry.

If you feel more comfortable, you can trace the outlines on canvas in advance, using graphite transfer paper before the class.  You can also use this technique instead of transfer paper

All materials are provided. You can also bring your own materials (for example drawing pencils and drawing paper) if you have them.

Ticket Instruction: You must choose a quantity to activate “get tickets”. To pay for a class registration with a Wet Paint gift card, please call 651-698-6431
