A robust introduction to watercolor that gently builds the habits a watercolorist needs to be successful.
Working with only two tubes of paint removes the complications of color, and allows beginners (or intermediate painters struggling with gaps in their basic painting knowledge), the opportunity to practice watercolor fundamentals. This class includes nitty gritty advice on topics such as palette options, mixing paint, analyzing a subject and planning how to paint it, controlling the value of the paint, painting areas of smooth color, getting your paintbrush into tight corners, and more! Plus, a limited color palette is a sure way to make a stylish, cohesive, harmonious painting, and helps you practice painting problem solving skills. You can choose to use the drawing provided by the instructor, or arrive with your own drawing of a potted plant, ready to paint.
