Tired of winter? Treat yourself to a warm, sunny getaway – right on paper! In this beginner-friendly watercolor workshop, you’ll learn to paint a serene beach scene with graceful palm trees and soft light. We’ll explore essential watercolor techniques: wet-on-wet, layering, color transitions, discover how to create a bright atmosphere and paint your own slice of summer! Beginner-friendly!
Material list:
All class materials are available for purchase from our store Wet Paint Artists’ Materials. We are open 10-6pm daily at 1684 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN or online at www.wetpaintart.com.
- Watercolor Paints (At least a basic set of colors)- pans or tubes that fits your budget.
- Standard set of brushes suitable for watercolor (synthetic and/or natural) (pointed round (#4-10), flat or bright or filbert (#8-12 or larger), detail round (#1-2)
- Watercolor Paper pad or single sheets 140lb cold presses surface
- Smooth, sturdy surface to place paper on (if needed)
- Masking Tape (to tape the paper to the surface if needed)
- Palette (plastic or paper)
- Water Cup
- Paper towel or cloth
- Masking Fluid : OPTIONAL
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
