Paint your Cat in Style of Gustav Klimt (acrylic)taught by Jana Komaritsa

This class is for all cat lovers! We will not only paint your beautiful cats, but also study the style of Austrian symbolist artist Gustav Klimt, Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent figures of Art Nouveau. He used allegorical imagery elaborated in decorative patterns. In this class we will also learn the main principles and techniques of working with acrylic paints and our experienced artist and instructor Jana Komaritsa will guide you through all the main stages of creating a cat painting in the style of Klimt. No painting experience required.

Material list for acrylic painting 

·       Acrylic paints (at least a set of basic colors).

·       Canvas panel or stretched canvas (8×10’’ or bigger)

·       Standard set of brushes (pointed round (4-10), flat or bright or filbert (8-12 or larger), detail round (1-2)

·       Palette (either plastic or paper palette (special for painting).

·       Water container

·       Rag or paper towel

·       Easel or drawing board (if needed)

·       Any pencil and eraser

·      Paper towels or cloth

plus: 

·        Metallic Gold acrylic paint (not a requirement)

·        Gold leaf -real or imitation (not a requirement)

·        Mod podge or other glue for golden leaf (not a requirement)
