IN PERSON CLASS
Slow stitching is an unhurried, thoughtful process that not only has a beautiful outcome, but also helps to calm our frenzied minds. Coupled with mixed media, it also allows for bold, expressive artwork either as stand-alone pieces or in our art journals. During the class, we’ll explore mark-making with stitching patterns, creating collages with paper and fabric, and play with color in a combination of paint, paper, fabric and thread. We will also discuss how to draw inspiration from the everyday world around us to add color, marks and patterns to our artwork.
Fabrics and Collage papers will be supplied. Bring your own embroidery supplies and sketchbook. There will be some shared use embroidery supplies available too.
Please wear masks during in-person classes at Wet Paint. If you are having any COVID or cold-like symptoms even if you have been vaccinated, please do not come to the class. Thanks!

Molly Anthony is a writer and mixed-media artist and is also the co-facilitator for the MN Visual Journal Collective (a free monthly group for artists of all mediums hosted by Wet Paint). She loves exploring art in all forms and sharing her ideas with others, but through the pandemic and family struggles she learned the importance of using those practices for self-care. In her work and her teachings, she strives to embrace imperfection, focuses on process over product and is constantly looking for new ways to be curious about the world around her. You can find her artwork on Instagram at @mkranthony and on her website TheFoundArtWalk.com.
