Gouache Waterfall Painting for Beginners taught by Jana Komaritsa

Learn the art of gouache painting by creating a captivating landscape with a waterfall. In this beginner-friendly class you’ll delve into the fundamental principles of composition and perspective while experimenting with gouache techniques, color mixing and application. No prior experience is necessary, making this class perfect for beginners. We’ll work on painting the image showcased in the class description, but you are welcome to choose a similar image.

Gouache supplies list:
- A basic gouache set of tube or pan colors (a selection of 6 colors or more) Here are some good options of sets if you need to buy some: Talens Art Creations 12 color gouache set– inexpensive smaller tubes. This would be a good starter if you aren’t sure that you will like the medium. Only $14.75. Stoneground Gouache 6 color half pan set – gorgeous paint that is handmade in Canada.
- Brushes. Average size 8-12, round pointed, flat. Bigger sizes can be used as well, smaller sizes for details.
- Painting surface suitable for gouache (watercolor or mixed media paper or boards, Claybord).
- Support Panel/pad back(if needed)
- Palette
- Water Cup
- Paper towel or cloth
- Masking Tape (if needed)
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
