Deep Dive into Color: Understanding Hue, Chroma and Value through Hands-on Practice taught by Jinjer Markley

In this class we’ll go deep into basic color theory while making shade/tint/tone charts. At the same time we’ll be helping to improve Jinjer Markley’s Color Triangle and also become part of a future book on color theory! This 4-hour workshop includes instruction suitable for beginning to advanced students on:
- Working with gouache
- Understanding and working with primary colors
- Mixing to match a specific color
- Producing shades, tints and tones of a single hue (and knowing EXACTLY what that means)
- Understanding hue, chroma and value through hands-on practice
Your classwork becomes an integral part of the development process! In exchange for this hands-on learning workshop, you agree to give the physical original of any color chart(s) you produce during the class, and also transfer copyright of said chart(s) to Jinjer Markley. You are welcome to take photographs of any of the color charts made during class, which you may use for personal purposes.
