Calling All Fans of Daniel Smith Watercolor!
When we were dreaming of the signature event to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we all agreed that it had to be something with our friends from Daniel Smith. Besides producing our #1 watercolor line, they’re also at the forefront of pigment innovation…and they’re really nice people to boot! As fate would have it, Daniel Smith Artists’ Materials and Wet Paint Artists’ Materials both turn 50 this year…so it’s a double celebration that was meant to be!
Join us for an evening celebrating paint and partnership as we welcome John Cogley, owner and CEO, and Katherine Taylor, President, of Daniel Smith Artists’ Materials. John is deeply passionate about the pigments, process and manufacturing of the paint. He will talk about how Daniel Smith acquires their pigments – both historical & modern – and some of the unique & interesting characteristics of these different pigments. While you add to your knowledge of this beloved medium, you’ll also get hands-on time with the paint, get your paint questions answered, and each attendee will receive a swag bag of Daniel Smith goodies, too!
