Building a Creative Practice (Multi-Session) taught by Molly Anthony
January 9 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Multi-Session Class
6 Fridays, January 9-February13 from 10am-1pmIN PERSON
Many of us dream of having a daily art practice, but due to busy schedules and multiple responsibilities, don’t believe it’s possible. In this class, we will discuss simple ways to free up time so that you can give yourself permission to explore your creative side and dedicate more of your life to the activities that bring you joy and awaken your curiosity. In addition to talking about schedules and planning, we’ll also examine several different mediums, discuss how to make our art portable and explore the positive benefits for our physical and mental health that we gain from a regular art practice.

Supplies to bring: (shared supplies will be available to use in class)
- A sketchbook/art journal (and a separate book for notes/journaling if you don’t want to keep them in your sketchbook)
- Pen/pencil for journal exercises/taking notes
- Your favorite pens/markers
- Scissors
- Adhesive (glue sticks will be available in class)
- Something to add color (watercolors, markers, colored pencils, etc)
All class materials are available for purchase from our store Wet Paint Artists’ Materials. We are open 10-6pm daily at 1684 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN or online at www.wetpaintart.com.
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
Ticket Instruction: You must choose a quantity to activate “get tickets”. To pay for a class registration with a Wet Paint gift card, please call 651-698-6431

Molly Anthony is a writer and mixed-media artist and is also the co-facilitator for the MN Visual Journal Collective (a free monthly group for artists of all mediums hosted by Wet Paint). She loves exploring art in all forms and sharing her ideas with others, but through the pandemic and family struggles she learned the importance of using those practices for self-care. In her work and her teachings, she strives to embrace imperfection, focuses on process over product and is constantly looking for new ways to be curious about the world around her. You can find her artwork on Instagram at @mkranthony and on her website TheFoundArtWalk.com.
