Botanical Pastel Drawing for Beginners taught by Jana Komaritsa

Learn how to use pastels to draw flowers and plants. We will study the basic principles of composition, techniques, work with material application and learn how to create a botanical drawing using pastels. We will be drawing using several references, including the image used in class description, but you can choose another image to draw from too. This is a beginner’s class and no experience is required.
Materials for pastel drawing
A basic set of soft pastels (not oil pastels). Sticks or pencils.
Pastel paper (can be colored) / sketchpad
Blending stump or tortillon (not required)
