Q:How does an artist go from an idea to a finished piece?
A: There’s no ONE way, but it generally involves some kind of sketching! This class explores different ways to go from idea to finish through examples & demonstrations and simple homework assignments to try yourself! You will learn tricks and tips for using sketching tools–both physical tools like colored pencils & rulers and mental tools like horizon lines and layered sketches. You will also learn the pros and cons of each tool, and how to put them together into a process that works for you!
Find Your Flow Freehand Drawing taught by Jinjer Markley is a great follow-up to this introductory overview class.
