IN PERSON CLASS
Wet Paint offers a series of simple, open ended art classes designed for children 2-6 years old with adult taught by early childhood art specialist, Ellen Ferrari. Each class will focus on one art making process. Ellen will use examples of artwork by iconic artists to make connections to professional artists who use these processes and introduce basic concepts, materials and terms. All materials provided (real artists’ paper, ink, paints and tools!) for several projects in each class.
This class: PRINTMAKING Explore printmaking – positive, negative, multiples – with a variety of shape stamps, stamp pads and a deck of printmaking game cards. After viewing block printed artwork by Mary Azarian and Richard Stephens, incise a block and use printers’ ink, brayers and barens to print a run of six cards.
