Color Curiosity (color theory) taught by Jinjer Markley
March 30, 2021 @ 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm CDT
Color curiosity blurs the boundaries between physics, art, biology and culture. In this fun, interactive and sometimes surprising class, we’ll dip our toes into each of those subjects while satisfying our curiosity about color. We’ll answer questions such as “What are the primary colors? Is it black or white that’s a mix of all the colors?” “How do I mix up the color I want?” “What colors look good together?” “What do ‘warm’ and ‘cool’ mean?” “Why is yellow so hard to see?” “What color is turquoise, really?” and many more.
- No supplies necessary, but if you want to follow along with the experiments, have the following colors ready, in paint or ink (including markers):
- Red, Magenta, Yellow, Cyan, Blue
- If you have a specific question about color that you want answered, email firstname.lastname@example.org at least 2 days in advance.
Please note: Payment and registration for this class will not be done through wetpaintart.com, and therefore will not show up on your customer account. Check out using your PayPal account or as a guest. Please email email@example.com if you have questions.
