This class has filled- Thank you!!
Saturdays: February 6, 13 and 20th 10-11:30 am CT
If you’ve wanted to try art journaling or want to develop a more consistent practice but are intimidated by the blank white page of sketchbooks or journals, try repurposing an old book for your next art journal project! Vintage books, novels, cookbooks and children’s books are a great alternative for an art journal because they provide a variety of paper options, inspiring graphics and illustrations, and come in an array of shapes and sizes. We’ll begin by selecting a book to use, then we’ll learn some simple and fun ways to breathe new life into the book and fill the pages with our own artwork.
- A book to alter
- Glue sticks or preferred adhesive
- Acrylic or watercolor paint & brushes
- Collage materials
- Your favorite pens, markers, paint markers, pencils, etc…
- Scissors and/or X-acto knife

Molly Anthony is a writer and mixed-media artist living in Richfield, MN. For the past several years, she has worked to build a daily creative practice and find ways to incorporate art into her daily routine. In 2019 she began her third year of a 365-day art journal project. She finds inspiration during her morning walks with her dog and uses objects they find along the way as art tools and writing prompts. She developed her Found Object Creativity Kits as a way to inspire others to seek inspiration from unexpected places and one of her kits was featured in the 6th International Recycling Art Exhibition hosted by the Gachi Art Movement in South Korea in 2017.
