Winter Landscape Using Colored Pencils taught by Jana Komaritsa

Step into the quiet beauty of winter and bring it to life on paper. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to capture the textures, colors, and atmosphere of winter using colored pencils. We’ll explore techniques for layering, blending, and shading to create depth and richness, while focusing on specific subjects such as snow, sky and trees. Beginner-friendly!

Materials list:
Standard set of colored pencils such as Pentel, Caran d’Ache Pablo or Luminance, Faber Castell sets Goldfaber or Polychromos
Firm eraser -such as Staedtler Mars vinyl or General’s Tri-Tip.
Kneaded eraser -such as Cretacolor or Faber Castell
Drawing Paper with a fine “tooth” roughly 8×10″ or 9×12″ pad or single sheet such as Strathmore 400 (drawing or colored pencil- approx. 80lb weight), Fabriano or Stonehenge.
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
