June 18 @ 10:00 am 12:30 pm CDT

Multi-Session Class

Meets Saturday +Sunday, June 18th+19th from 10-12:30CT

With summer’s vivid colors to inspire us, we’ll explore the use of gouache to paint our natural environs, be they parks or back yard gardens. We will play with some of the technical aspects , including its range from transparent to opaque. The real fun will be in using this flexible water- medium to paint images of flora and fauna. Between our two sessions (and after), you’ll be ready to try this IN nature nearby!

This class is designed with the Irodori Summer Gouache Set by Holbein in mind. Your instructor will be using this versatile set of colors. You may use any gouache, but the Irodori Holbein Gouache is quite flexible, easily reconstitutes, and because of its dense pigment, quite rich.

Prerequisites: NONE. This workshop is very appropriate for first time creators as well as those with previous experience. Each will benefit from attention and guidance.
