This is a purr-fect class for cat lovers! Celebrate your cat with a splash of sunshine and creativity in this summer-themed painting class! In Summer Cat, you’ll learn how to paint a portrait of your cat surrounded by a vibrant flower meadow, full of color, texture, and joyful summer vibes.
You’ll learn how to paint a cat portrait, capturing their personality, and surrounding them with a dreamy, summery field of flowers. Along the way, you’ll learn techniques for fur texture, floral shapes, and building a bright, cheerful background. We will paint with acrylic paints.
Bring a photo of your cat for inspiration — or paint a fantasy cat! This is a beginner-friendly workshop.
Materials list:
· Acrylic paints (at least a set of basic colors). view some set options here.
· Canvas panel or stretched canvas (8×10’’ or bigger)
· Standard set of brushes (pointed round (4-10), flat or bright or filbert (8-12 or larger), detail round (1-2)
· Palette (either plastic or paper palette (special for painting)
· Water container
· Rag or paper towel
· Easel or drawing board (if needed)
· Any pencil and eraser
· Paper towels or cloth
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
