See Color Like An Artist taught by Jinjer Markley

July 7 @ 3:30 pm 5:30 pm

$35.00 – $280.00 Choose single session ticket or whole series ticket

IN PERSON

Before you can control color, you must learn to SEE it as it really is.

In this class, we will explore Josef Alber’s color experiment VI using colored paper to learn about Color Relativity.  Albers’ experiments are a playful and powerful way to learn color theory and build your color intuition. Instructor Jinjer Markley explains the experiment with examples to follow, and guides students to interpret our discoveries in ways that are applicable to an artistic practice.

Materials:

A small sketchbook: I like size A5 sketchbooks

A pen or pencil for taking notes.

All other supplies are included, but the more colors we have, the better, so if you have a collection of colored paper, paint chips, old Pantone sets, etc, that you’re willing to share, please bring it!

All class materials are available for purchase from our store Wet Paint Artists’ Materials. We are open 10-6pm daily at 1684 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN or online at www.wetpaintart.com.

Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
