We’re celebrating the addition of 40 new Super Granulation Colors to the watercolor department with a Sunday morning series of classes designed to help you explore all 8 color themed palettes. Each class features a different cluster of colors.
This class: Deep Sea + Glacier: Aquatic (under water Whale)
Using some wet into wet, salt, sponge techniques we’ll take a deep dive with your favorite aquatic life and sea/icescapes.
Supply list:
PAINT
Liz will be demoing using the Schmincke Super granulating Deep Sea and Glacier watercolor palettes . 1/2 pans or tubes. Students may use any of the colors from these 2 palettes.
PAPER
Hahnemuhle Rough press block 300lb or 140lb 9×12
Or watercolor paper 300lb rough sheet cut into workable sizes. 8×10, 10×10 and 6×8, Some scraps of watercolor paper for testing colors. Hahnemuhle or Fabriano suggested.
Suggested Brushes: Princeton Select Pointed Filbert Brush size #6 and Silverbrush Jumbo Round small
Wool sea sponges, Jacquard silk salt, small mister bottle, H hardness pencil.
Optional: Holbein Masking Fluid, G-Nib+ pen holder
