Expand your Rosemaling skills in this project class under the guidance of skilled teacher and Rosemaler, Julie Anderson.
We’ll be painting a wooden box in the Telemark style. The Telemark style with its central scroll(s) and fanciful flowers is the most recognizable style of Rosemaling. In this 4 session class we’ll focus on choosing your color scheme, adjusting a design and painting details. The design is for a 8” long X 6” wide X 5” high wooden box and we will discuss how to adapt the design for other sizes. Box details below.
LEVEL: Students who have taken the Rosemaling: Brush Techniques classes or other painting class where they learned basic brush strokes are welcome knowing the class will be faster paced than a beginning class. The class will be focused on expanding technical and creative skills focusing on scroll and flower embellishments. Students can paint with acrylic or oil paint.
ABOUT THE WOODEN BOX: You can order the box by sending an email to luskscandiaww@yahoo.com and advise them you are ordering a Curved Top Box for the Wet Paint Telemark Box project taught by Julie Anderson. Cost of the box is about $25 plus shipping and handling and it will take some time to get the box so order as soon as possible. If you don’t have the box when the class starts, you can paint along on painted paper so you are ready to paint your box when you get it.
