Architecture for Urban Sketchers taught by Cris Godoy
June 29 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm CDT
Do you enjoy sketching on location but need to improve your skills?
Learn how to set up a good foundation for your sketches using the principles of simple perspective. Perspective can seem intimidating, but it is fun once you know it and it starts improving your sketches! Perspective drawing also helps capture the subject faster and more accurately.
You will learn about drawing and water media techniques, materials, composition etc. and get experience/gain confidence under a patient and generous teacher’s guidance. Urban Sketching is a practice of making on-location drawing. Learn to see the city with the eyes of an explorer discovering new territory – rediscovering our city through the act of drawing.
Materials list: Specific list of materials will be sent to registrants. Expect to bring a few basic tubes/pans of watercolor, 2 watercolor brushes, watercolor sketchbook(such as Hahnemuhle Watercolour Book), a few simple drawing supplies
