Oil Pastel Seascape taught by Jana Komaritsa

In this beginner-friendly oil pastel workshop, you’ll learn to create a dynamic seascape filled with movement and color, focusing on the rhythm and energy of waves. We’ll explore fundamental oil pastel techniques: layering, blending, texturing, and discover how to use bold strokes and rich pigments to bring water to life. Beginner-friendly!

SUPPLY LIST:
All class materials are available for purchase from our store Wet Paint Artists’ Materials. We are open 10-6pm daily at 1684 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN or online at www.wetpaintart.com.
-A selection (set or individual colors) of Oil pastels (not soft chalky type). Either student grade(Expressionist Cray-Pas /regular Cray-Pas) or professional (Sennelier).
-8×10 or 9×12 Paper such as drawing paper that is a bit heavier weight, mixed media paper or pastel paper with some texture will work. Optional: A light/medium blue or blue grey toned paper could be fun to work on.
-A blending stomp or tortillon
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
