MN Visual Journal Collective Meet Up

IN PERSON EVENT
The MN Visual Journal Collective meets 12 times a year on the third Monday of the month, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wet Paint. Meetings are free and open to any adult who is interested in keeping visual journals. All skill levels are encouraged from beginner to life-long journal keepers.
This Month’s Topic: Fodder & Ephemera Exchange Please prepare 30 “packets” for our swap.
Use a plastic baggie, a small paper bag, an envelope, etc. as the “packet”.
Bring an extra, larger bag for yourself, to collect all of the fodder swap packets.
Within each packet, include 1-3, hand-cut/handmade items, such as:
a watercolor circle, a stenciled botanical, an animal shape, faux postage stamps, a handmade sticker, tickets and/or tags with your art on them, etc.
Q: Does it have to be made of paper?
A: No, but the idea is that the item could be used in a journal or card making, etc.
Q: Can I include more than 3 things in each packet?
A: Absolutely!
Q: Does it have to be handmade, or could I include die-cuts, stickers, etc.
A: Please include at least one handmade/hand-cut item in each packet, but the rest can be manufactured, if you happen to have lots of that type of thing to share.
Bring your journal and journaling supplies, so you can start playing with your new fodder and ephemera!!
A little bit about the group: We are an eclectic, curious, and welcoming adult group interested in sketching and observing our lives. Come and join in the fun! You may also wish to join the MN Visual Journal Collective Google Group or join the group on Padlet to stay informed of upcoming meetings and/or any last minute changes due to weather.
