IN PERSON EVENT
The MN Visual Journal Collective meets 12 times a year on the third Monday of the month, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wet Paint. Meetings are free and open to any adult who is interested in keeping visual journals. All skill levels are encouraged from beginner to life-long journal keepers.
This month’s Topic: Journal Exchange
Bring a blank journal (new or handmade) all wrapped up like a gift. The journal you choose to wrap up should be one that you’d love to work in, or know that you love working in. It can have lined, grid, dot, or blank pages, etc.
You know how we often collect blank journals because we love them? Pick one from your shelf, buy your favorite one from Wet Paint, or make one with paper(s) you love. Wrap it all up, like you’re giving it to someone you care about.
We’ll be passing around the gift wrapped journals to music. When the music stops, you can decide to keep, or continue to pass the package in your hands. After several rounds, we’ll open the wrapped up journal, then start working in our new journals.
Of course, we’ll do some show and tell of what we received, as looking at journals brings us tons of joy!

A little bit about the group: We are an eclectic, curious, and welcoming adult group interested in sketching and observing our lives. Come and join in the fun! You may also wish to join the MN Visual Journal Collective Google Group or join the group on Padlet to stay informed of upcoming meetings and/or any last minute changes due to weather.
