Join Liz for a new sketchbook experience. Rediscover some materials from your collection or maybe try something new in this Mixed Media Toned Sketchbook class. Each week you enjoy a different media on the toned pages (grey or beige) of the Hahnemuhle Toned Watercolour Book. This surfaces provides light texture and holds up to a variety of media suitable for both drawing and painting. Liz will guide you through colored pencil and Neocolor II techniques and sketching with gouache in the pages of these books. Class includes homework to keep you learning and motivated.

Supply List:
Hahnemuhle Toned Watercolour book-size and color of your choice. Please get this brand and style as the texture is suitable for the variety of media we’ll use.
Colored Pencils of your choice, a set or a handful of favorite colors will be plenty. Brands I like a lot are Holbein, Faber-Castell (Polychromous series) & Caran d’Ache (Pablo series)
Caran d’Ache Neocolor II water soluble wax pastels (crayons-as I call them). A small set (10 or 15 count) or a few colors of your choice. Be sure to pick up white or your favorite pale tone.
Gouache, a small set of tubed colors, or your favorite color plus black and white. I like the Holbein and Schmincke brands.
Paint brushes of your choice suitable for a variety of media, appropriate for the size book you pick out. I like the Princeton Snap series very much.
Graphite pencil (2H or HB). Whatever you like for laying out light sketches.
