Multi-Session Class
Via Zoom Thursdays, June 4, 11, 18, 25 from 10:30am-12:30pm Central TimeVIRTUAL CLASS
Unlock the creative block, focus on new media and how to mix them together in play. A sketchbook is that perfect place for exploration. We’ll practice techniques in your favorite monochromatic color to really help you focus on material use. We’ll draw from life, references and take inspiration from master artists. There are homework assignments to keep you creating!

Supply List
Sketchbook:Your favorite Mixed Media sketchbook will be perfect! Keep in mind you’ll want something that can hold up to dry and wet media and have enough space on the page for notes, scribbles, color swatches and class work. Here are a few of my favorites: Stillman & Birn Alpha (softcover 8×10 or 8×8) 150gsm. Stillman & Birn Beta (softcover 8×10 or 8×8) 270gsm. Global Art Hand Book Watercolor Journal, both weights are good (5.5×8.25, 8.25sq or 8.25×10.5)
Media: NOTE: Select two or more values of your favorite color; a light, medium and dark tone will do the trick. You’re welcome to change the color with each new weekly media or stick with one color throughout the class. If you already have another brand of a similar product (ie. a different wax based pencil) then that should work fine, or else try the recommended brands below. If your budget allows perhaps add one contrasting or complimentary color now and then for a fun pop!

Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
Ticket Instruction: You must choose a quantity to activate “get tickets”. To pay for a class registration with a Wet Paint gift card, please call 651-698-6431
