IN PERSON CLASS
Wet Paint offers a series of simple, open ended art classes designed for children 2-6 years old with adult taught by early childhood art specialist, Ellen Ferrari. Each class will focus on one art making process. Ellen will use examples of artwork by iconic artists to make connections to professional artists who use these processes and introduce basic concepts, materials and terms. All materials provided (real artists’ paper, ink, paints and tools!) for several projects in each class.
This Class: Watercolor
Learn the basics of watercolor painting, starting with viewing works by watercolorists Kano Tsunenobu and Georgia O’Keefe. Experiment with paint and water to create light and dark colors. Learn to mix colors. Try watercolor overpainting. And end with some unusual watercolor tools.
Must have one adult attending class with every child. Thanks!
