Kids Create!: (afternoon) Leaf Printing for Ages 2-6 w/Adult taught by Ellen Ferrari

Wet Paint offers a series of simple, open ended art classes designed for children 2-6 years old with adult taught by early childhood art specialist, Ellen Ferrari. Each class will focus on one art making process. Ellen will use examples of artwork by iconic artists to make connections to professional artists who use these processes and introduce basic concepts, materials and terms. All materials provided (real artists’ paper, ink, paints and tools!) for several projects in each class.
This Class: Leaf Printing
Leaves from outdoors for leaf printing indoors! Start with looking at nature prints by Sue Filbin, Philip Taaffe, Gearoid Muldowney and Jo Anne Butler. Use ink, brayers, plates, and papers – and lots of tree and grocery store leaves – to print single, multiple, positive and negative leaf prints.
