Wet Paint offers a series of simple, open ended art classes designed for children 2-6 years old with adult taught by early childhood art specialist, Ellen Ferrari. Each class will focus on one art making process. Ellen will use examples of artwork by iconic artists to make connections to professional artists who use these processes and introduce basic concepts, materials and terms. All materials provided (real artists’ paper, ink, paints and tools!) for several projects in each class.
This Class: Bookbinding Make your own books out of art tools from Wet Paint and with ideas from artists at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Learn basic bookbinding techniques to create a color pencil binding, a blackboard chalk whip stitch and a crayon box M-fold. Fill your books with content using words, colors, scrap paper and glue sticks.
