Kids Create!: (Afternoon) Collage for Ages 2-6 w/Adult taught by Ellen Ferrari

IN PERSON CLASS (AFTERNOON SESSION)
Wet Paint offers a series of simple, open ended art classes designed for children 2-6 years old with adult taught by early childhood art specialist, Ellen Ferrari. Each class will focus on one art making process. Ellen will use examples of artwork by iconic artists to make connections to professional artists who use these processes and introduce basic concepts, materials and terms. All materials provided (real artists’ paper, ink, paints and tools!) for several projects in each class.
Must have one adult attending class with every child. Thanks!
This class: Collage The art of collage artists Henri Matisse and Romare Bearden are the start for three collage projects. Work with paste under overlapping and adjacent opaque paper shapes. Work with paste under opaque hard cut paper bits. And work with paste over soft ripped transparent tissue bits – to create a one-of-a-kind collages.
