Intro to Modern Brush Lettering taught by Jessica Chung

IN PERSON CLASS
Building on your understanding of basic cursive handwriting, Jessica will walk you through beginning modern brush writing by covering a brief history of calligraphy, supplies, the anatomy of a letter, and the basic strokes of the alphabet. By the end of class, you will have begun to identify your own personal lettering style!

Come join us on your calligraphy journey!
You will need two sizes (one smaller and one a bit bigger) of brush tipped pens:
Grid paper and Crayola type markers will be provided for use in class but if you’d like to buy some for practicing at home, Jessica recommends: Rhodia Grid Pads (or something similar) and Crayola broad tip markers
Printed practice alphabets, grids, resources (blogs etc)
Please wear masks during in-person classes at Wet Paint. If you are having any COVID or cold-like symptoms even if you have been vaccinated, please do not come to the class. Thanks!
