Get to know Lascaux!

Stop by Wet Paint between 2 and 5pm on Friday, November 8th to learn about and demo Lascaux acrylic paints.

It’s your chance to ask any questions, find out more about this paint and have a little hands-on time with this high quality acrylic paint. See for yourself why they are the “creme de la creme” of acrylic paints from Zurich, Swizerland.

Lascaux Artist Acrylics have an exceptional pigment load, texture and feel normally reserved for oil paints. All colors dry to a uniformly matte satin-sheen. They have a smooth, rich and buttery feel and are never sticky. The Artist Acrylics are archival, extraordinarily lightfast and resistant to aging, suitable for exterior use. The colors do not oxidize, shrink, yellow or crack. The tubes hand-painted labels accurately show paint color.

The three metallic hues Brilliant Silver, Sunshine Gold, and King’s Gold consist of lightfast acrylates and non-oxidizing mineral pigments. As they are extremely lightfast and weather-resistance, they are also suitable for outdoor applications.

Due to their extreme durability, they are also an outstanding choice for murals and outdoor sculpture. Sol LeWitt used Lascaux for his mural at The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Lascaux Acrylics have been the choice of the “New York Cow Parade” and “Seattle Pigs on Parade” projects in recent years. Lascaux was also chosen for “The Cosmic Dancer”, a sculpture project aboard the Mir Space Station!
