IN PERSON

Come and enjoy a creatively enriching experience of developing a painting from the fertile ground of your sketchbook. In this 6-week class, Joshua will lead you through a process of exploring ideas through your sketchbook. Developing them through compositional iterations for the first two weeks. At which time, one will be chosen to explore further in oil on canvas for the remaining four weeks through the principles of the prismatic palette.

Joshua is primarily a landscape painter, both in plein air and in the studio. His rich and varied art education continues with each scene he approaches, and person he teaches.

“This was a great class! Joshua is a generous teacher. I will employ what I learned in both my watercolor and oil painting practices. It has made me look more carefully at my subject matter.”- Kathleen R. past participant
