Drawing Sea Waves with Soft Pastels taught by Jana Komaritsa

Immerse yourself in the rhythm and movement of the ocean in this calming and creative soft pastel class. This workshop will guide you through the process of capturing the fluid beauty of sea waves using the rich, vibrant medium of soft pastels. You’ll learn essential techniques for blending, layering, and texturing, will explore light, color, and motion to create dynamic seascapes filled with atmosphere and emotion. This is a beginner-friendly workshop.
Soft pastels supply list:
Smooth, sturdy surface to tape paper to (if needed)
Set of soft pastels (with at least basic colors) such as Jackson or Jack Richeson
Pastel paper (can be toned). Wet Paint sells single sheets and pads.
Any pencil and eraser
Masking tape (to tape the paper to the surface if needed)
Paper towels or cloth
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
