Drawing Flowers with Pastel for Beginners taught by Jana Komaritsa

VIRTUAL CLASS
Learn how to use pastels to draw beautiful flowers in this beginner-friendly class. We will cover the basic principles of composition and pastel techniques, including material application and blending methods. You will learn how to create vibrant floral drawings using soft pastels, guided by our experienced instructor. We will work from a reference image provided in the class description, but you are welcome to choose a similar image. No prior experience is required.
Soft pastels supply list
- Set of soft pastels (with at least basic colors)
- Pastel paper (can be toned)
- Any pencil and eraser
- Blending stumps / tortillions
- Masking tape (to tape the paper to the surface if needed)
- Paper towels or cloth
- Smooth, sturdy surface to tape paper to (if needed)
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
