Colored Pencil Techniques for Coloring Books taught by Jinjer Markley
January 2 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm CST
IN PERSON CLASS
Ages: 8-adult
This class is an introduction to color pencil techniques such as selecting colors, achieving smooth areas of color, blending, and creating shading and shadows. We will also learn strategies for approaching coloring books, so the process of learning the medium of color pencil becomes super relaxing AND produces a beautiful result.
Materials:
- A coloring book or coloring page
- A selection of soft wax or oil-based color pencils, such as Prismacolor, Faber Castell or Holbein.
- A good quality pencil sharpener. I love the Kum 2-way sharpener. Don’t use an electric pencil sharpener.
You will get more detailed recommendations for supplies upon registration
This is an IN-PERSON class. In keeping with the standards of other educational settings in our area, we are asking that students and instructors wear masks during in-person classes at Wet Paint.
