2021 Summer (Distanced) Art Exchange – Hosted by Wet Paint Staff
July 12 All day
Register by Monday, July 12th – Art due by Monday, August 16th
MAKE ART ~ GIVE ART ~ GET ART!
Sometimes we need a project with a commitment and deadline to get the creative energy flowing. So…Wet Paint is facilitating another art exchange!
You make the art, you give art, and you get art! (It’s a win-win-win)
We’re doing this remotely, which means you’ll get a collection of (at least ten) small art pieces in a mailed package at the end. The project fee will cover art handling, packing and shipping the art collections from Wet Paint to each of the participants.
We’ll have a private Facebook group set up for this project for participants to interact, if desired. Kate Katzer will administrate and check in to answer questions and to brainstorm ideas but will also be available via email for anyone not into Facebook. Kate has participated in a number of art exchanges and enjoys working in edition, which is a great format to consider for a project involving a series of artworks.
Need supportive motivation? Intro email to get you started and reminder email when time to ship will be sent.
All media is welcome, with a size limitation – pieces should be 6”x9”x ½” or less, to fit the box we plan to use for shipping. Please keep the subject matter family friendly.
Minimum enrollment is 10 and maximum is 20, to make it both worth the effort and to keep the art making commitment manageable. If you want to start right away – plan to make 20 pieces, in case we meet our max enrollment.
REGISTER BY July 12th – This is when enrollment will be finalized, and we’ll have a firm count of participants.
OFFICAL START DATE is July 13th – Kate will email the group with the number of participants and additional information.
ART MUST BE DELIVERED TO OR RECEIVED BY MAIL TO WET PAINT BY August 16th – Collating and shipment will occur later that week.
Any costs of mailing art to Wet Paint are the responsibility of the participant.
Ticket Instruction: You must choose a quantity to activate “get tickets”.
