Northern Lights in Soft Pastel taught by Jana Komaritsa

VIRTUAL CLASS
Step into the magic of the northern night sky and learn to capture the shimmering beauty of the Northern Lights using soft pastels. In this calming, beginner-friendly class we’ll be creating a glowing night sky scene, exploring blending techniques, layering colors, and adding contrast to bring the aurora to life against mountains and forest. Beginner-friendly!
Soft pastels supply list:
Smooth, sturdy surface to tape paper to (if needed)
Set of soft pastels (with at least basic colors) such as Jackson or Jack Richeson
Dark Toned Pastel paper (Dark Blue or Black). Wet Paint sells single sheets and pads.
Any pencil and eraser
Masking tape (to tape the paper to the surface if needed)
Paper towels or cloth
Classes have a limited space available and some fill quickly. Decisions about whether to cancel a class or add another session are typically made one week prior to the start of a class. If a class you are interested in is full we will have a waiting list and will contact you if a space opens up. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 4 registrations) all registrations will be promptly refunded.
