In The Art of the Fold series, paper and book artist Bridget O’Malley will take you through the 36 projects featured in this wonderful and beautiful book. From “flag books” to “blizzard books,” “fishbones” to “nesting” boxes, you’ll master these many unique structures created by Kyle. Bridget has taken some workshops with Hedi over the years, at MCBA, Paper & Book Intensive, and Guild of Bookworkers Seminars.

Note: Students are encouraged to purchase their own copy of The Art of the Fold. Because of copyright restrictions, photocopies of instructions will not be provided at class.

In this class: The Accordion

Seemingly simple, the accordion is a versatile and playful format. Viewed two pages at a time or as a panorama, the format offers so many possibilities! The infamous “Flag Book” is included in the 11 structures we’ll cover.
