Modular Origami: Kusudama Spheres taught by Jade Huynh
June 30, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm CDT$48
Sunday, June 30th 12-3pm
Younger folders (11+) are welcome in this class.
This particular class will be focused on one of my favorite modular pieces to make. A Kusudama Sphere takes an amount of patience in understand that is also a part of the process to create this beautiful model. I will be demonstrating how to fold each of the 60 pieces that make this come together, and how to assemble it in our three hour session.
I believe in creating this for my first class at wet paint, everyone will find a beauty in every detail of whatever art they may come by afterward.
An email with supply list and details will be sent to registrants prior to the class.
About the instructor:
Practicing origami professionally was not something that was anticipated for my future. I originally had went to Culinary School, and cooked as a pastry chef for seven years. There is a great passion for being able to create delicate items during intense work conditions, and I thought that was what I would do forever. I then decided to continue a hobby I had always practiced as a child, Origami. The last two years of my pastry career was when I realized I had a greater love for the art of paper folding.
