Gelli Plate printing is a fun approach to printmaking. This direct printing technique uses a gelatin-like substrate for printing by hand; no press needed! Create beautifully textured images using acrylic paint, and stencils. So much fun, it’s addictive.
Gelli plates are the new rage in monotype techniques. They are a soft acrylic gel that can be inked and printed onto paper. Learn to create visual interest and depth through layering. Combine stencils for rich patterns and colors. This will be an evening of discovery and amusement for the novice and the experienced alike.
We’ll have Gelli plates, tools, paint, paper and blank cards with envelopes available for use during the class. You get to take home the prints you make!
This class is a great way to learn about this technique and try-it before investing in the tools.
